Are you searching for something different? For sure, Hungary’s DHARMA [ dharmaofficial] is what’s suit you. This band, with their second album propose something that it “straddles the line between Gothic Rock and Electronic Metal”. Obviously that is something that “requires a certain amount of open minded-ness” and few listens too but this is not a reason for giving up, as our reviewer Tony states at the end : “I like “Dharmageddon” more and more with each listen […] and “Dharmageddon” is a bit of a change from most of today’s female fronted metal”.

Although they recently gone through a line up change with violinist Milena Kluz taking the lead over the former vocalists Natalia Sikora, Poland’s Symphonic Metal outfitAt the Lakedebut album “Maya” offers a nice formula that includes in their sound “Gothic, Folk and Celtic music”. Even if “it has been done before “Maya” it all sounds very natural and not gimmicky or forced”. Do you fancy for some good symphonic metal?

Coming from an “artistic” family as Anne states : “my mom was a theater major in college and a director and my dad has written a novel”, her project Upon Wings debuts with the EP “Afterlife” that features the “guest vocalist Brett Hestla (ex-Creed, Dark New Day), master Grammy-nominated mixing engineer Glenn Brown (Kid Rock‘s recording engineer) and guitar work and production from Canadian-based Kevin Jardine. “When it comes to writing songs and creating a theme with the lyrics, I have to write what is true to me and whatever I’m experiencing at the time”, so Anne it’s a true artist that tries to fullfil her dreams [and maybe he achieved this mission].

AlthoughWeeping Silence’s line up had to cope with some important changes (see Rachel & Joseph Grech departures’ - both band singers), it was right to give some space to this chef d’oevre. “For the Unsung” is the third album by this Maltese Gothic Doom band and they have simply “delivered the finest album of their career thus far”. The intention of the band is “utilize the tried-and-true method of beauty and the beast vocals” and they do it with success! Though a doubt for the future remains as Tony states : “only time will tell how this change will affect the band as they move forward”

(@hereticsdream) We have already talked yesterday about Italian/UK Gothic Progressive Metal band Heretic’s Dreamwith their “The Unexpected Move” debut album. Now, after some line up changes, the band is back with a single that according to Tony might be “the ground work for what could become a successful second album”. In fact we can perceive an improvement throughout their sound and as Tony states [“Chains of Bloods”] “represents a progression in the right direction”

(@hereticsdream) Waiting for the single review of “Chains of Blood” we gladly give some space to this Italian Metal band based in UK. What we are proposing here is Heretic’s Dream 2012 debut album “The Unexpected Move” that according to Tony “showcases the experimental nature of the band”. “Fronted by the talented vocals of Francesca Di Ventura - Tony recommend this band if you are into the “Gothic Metal with some progressive overtones”

And from UK, comes “ethereal gothic rock/metal” trio Celestial Wish. Their 2012 demo totally surprised Tony because “I had no idea what to make of at first”. As Tony writes Celestial Wish 4-song demo has a certain quality that is eerie, a bit avant-garde and still possibly commercially viable”. Wrapping up our reviewer about this UK trio statesCelestial Wish may not be for everyone and the tempo and mood of the songs very rarely varies, but still the band shows a lot of promise”. So, we postpone our full verdict the next time for CW

From Italy with love. It’s really the right case to say it ‘cause this second album “Tales from the Heart” by Vicenza based Gothic band Armonightit’s a total breakthrough for Tony. Our reviewer is not afraid to state that “The songs are melodic, accessible” and he has only good praises for the singer Sy that she “delivers her lines with a great deal of passion and emotion”. In conclusion, “Tales from the Heart” is a good second effort and is an album full of satisfying, heartfelt and passionate songs”.

UK based Gothic metal band HANGING DOLL in 2012 via Rocksector Records has released their second album called “The Sacred & Profane” and for Tony, our reviewer, it was a new experience because he wasn’t “been familiar with the band at all” but he says that “The Sacred & Profane” is quite a pleasing listening experience”.

Spanish Alternative Gothic metal Unseen Ether, that in the meantime during 2012 they have changed the band name into Etherea and they present themselves with a brand new lineup, debuts with the 5-song EP “Ephemeral Way” and as Tony states Unseen Ether are a “promising young band as their debut EP “Ephemeral Way” displays.
