As Matteo statesTransbohem classify themselves as World Prog Metal, which is a pretty ambitious definition”. Yes, you have heard right, this Franch band mix in their sound “metal, with frequents changes of tempo, rhythm and atmosphere, passing from prog metal to arabian music”. “This album is very challenging to listen to” but “keeps always your attention at a high level”. Also the particularity of this release is their vocalist Claire that “doesn’t actually “sings” but she pretty much adds to the general atmosphere with her vocal abilities, creating a very suggestive result”. In conclusion, our editor has high hopes for this band but they “have to define and develop their sound”. Besides this remark, he ends saying that Transbohêm “are going to be one of the most interesting bands in the years to come”.

We’ve got the chance for a short Q&A with Elvyne Lorent, singer of the Franch Symphonic Metal BandWHYZDOM. Despite her young age, the girl has the ideas quite clear and when she’s questioned about the title’s meaning (“Blind?”), she replies : “It’s about the blindness of people. You know, everyone sometimes refuses to open their eyes on what’s happening around them, because it’s more comfortable. And very often they pretend to be blind”. Are you a nostalgic of the late 90’s gothic metal bands like TOT and Tristania? Well, EVOLVENT OFFICIAL ”Delusion” (out in 2011 via Bernett Records) is what you are searching for. Although, the Franch Gothic Doom metal band has recently faced some line up problems (see Johanna Manto and Marc Canlers’ departures), the Franchies have released a platter of an excellent quality. You don’t believe me? Just read some words from our reviewer Luisa: “It was since a long time I did not stumble upon such a good and quality release in the female fronted scene, at least the more gothic oriented. There is nothing new in the way it is composed, sung or played but all of the above it is done very well and you can feel the emotions”.

BINGO! Again a CD by French Power/Progressive metal band Asylum Pyre, for the second time, has been RATED 100 out of 100. By the way, my personal congratulations but beside that from 2009 debut “Natural Instinct?” a lot has changed a including the new singer (the previous singer was Carole Alcantara) now the band is leading by Chaos Heidi that according to Tony she’s “proving to be a great choice”. Also “FIFTY YEARS LATER”, the second album, released via MASSACRE RECORDS on 2012 “screams class, from the song writing to the musicianship and overall presentation, “Fifty Years Later” has really kicked it up several notches from their debut. The band does a great job in mixing songs with epic arrangements with shorter songs while still maintaining a melodic base – everything is just so solid”. So what are you expecting for? After few line up changes , French Symphonic metal maestros WHYZDOM are back with a new singer, Elvyne Lorient and the second album called “Blind?” via Scarlet Records. I think really that is the right album for you. And here (again) another top notch review (rated 95 out 10) at Femme Metal Webzine, read here @ (via Whyzdom – “Blind?” (2012) « Femme Metal Webzine)

Just for inaugurate the site, that’s it another interview! We’re still in France but this time in company of Virginie Goncalves Official, singer of the modern metal band Kells. She talked a while ago with us about touring with Epica, tarjaofficial and ReVamp, her long time friendship/musical collaboration with Candice, former singer of Eths. And least but not last Kells’s third album “Anachromie” - also the reason of why they use Franch is “Every band from every country already sings in English, and I think this precisely make us sound different. I think that people don’t mind understanding the lyrics, the melody and the music may be as strong in terms of feelings. ” So people, embrace your dictionaries and make it yours ‘cause Kells won’t write English lyrics… more @ (via INTERVIEW: Virginie Goncalves – Kells « Femme Metal Webzine)
