(@svartrecords @tuomaskarhunen) “After their high praised self-titled debut” Finnish occult rock band Jess and the Ancient Ones are back a brand new EP called “Astral Sabbat” released by Svart Records. The only thing that our reviewer Luisa has done it was reconfirming her opinion about this band and their musicianship : “The EP is made up of three tracks bathed by a magic breath, a liquid sound that is found also in the instruments”. So, as Luisa recommends “if you love occult rock, this is a release you cannot miss”.
Finland is well known for deliver the finest underground metal/rock acts and for this reason and also in occasion for the self titled debut album that was released via Svart Records on 2012, Alessandra took some of her time to delve into psychedelick rock/doom metal band Seremonia and she nailed down some questions for Noora. If you have had the chance to listen to the album you have noticed that the entire album was composed in Finnish and when Noora is questioned about this matter she has replied that “no one seemed to be doing this sort of music these days in our language and we wanted to do it. I think it sounds more original that way”. So, do you fancy to learn some Finnish or simply do you love this musical genre? Check more at the link below

“The show must go on” says a famous adage and a business never stops neither when we have some brutal changes in a line up (I’m referring to Anette Olzon’s departure). Although “Imaginaerium - The Score” as Davide says “It can’t be considered a Nightwish‘s new album” while we wait for an European movie release, it’s a good appetizer for all the fans. This album, based on the “Imaginaerium” album that was published on 2011, was rearranged by Sibelius academy teacher and composer Petri Alanko. In the end, Davide advices this album to Nightwish fans only, so you are one of them? Just click the link below

For the series “woman can be a lot ballsy too” I introduce you Alexa Leroux, singer of the Helsinki based powerhouse act Shear. On 2012, under Lifeforce Records, the Finns have released their debut album “Breaking the Stillness” that pours power metal from every corner not to forgot the melodic, symphonic & progressive influences. According her interview, Alexa seems that her classical background helped her as a singer and to develop a real good musical ear and she got attracted by metal because :”I just needed something a little more aggressive, in a way. I’m not a violent person; it’s just that, like I said earlier, singing metal was a good outlet for my energy. And I’ve always had lots of energy”. As a personal memoir, I still remember the rating that Tony gave to the debut EP “In Solitude” (87/100)… a really good one, so what are you expecting for?
