Well, we can use only Tony’s words for describeTatiana’s Niovi “Breath of Light” debut album : “beautiful, passionate, full of heart and cinematic”. But let’s do a step back and present a little the band - “they hail from Greece” and tag their music Melodic Symphonic Rock & Soundtrack Music, it is fronted by the lead vocalist Tatiana Manolidou that according to our reviewer : [she] “has a tremendously expressive and diverse voice”. Tony closes his piece stating that in “Breath of Life” “there are so many interesting music layers”.

An epic breakout for the German Melodic/Power/Symphonic Metallers Envinya. “Inner Silence”, the band’s debut released under MASSACRE RECORDS, wins over our reviewer Tony that declares : “I really have grown to be a big fan of Envinya after listening to “Inner Silence””. What the band plays is a mix of “symphonic, power and prog metal” with a “a great melodic base”. The highlight of this platter are Natalie Perreira dos Santos’s “pretty diverse voice” that she’s able to sing in “different styles”. The singer has left the band and at the moment Envinya is searching for a new singer and Tony adds about Natalia’s next replecement : “She is going to be a tough act to follow for anyone that replaces her”.

Spanish Alternative Gothic metal Unseen Ether, that in the meantime during 2012 they have changed the band name into Etherea and they present themselves with a brand new lineup, debuts with the 5-song EP “Ephemeral Way” and as Tony states Unseen Ether are a “promising young band as their debut EP “Ephemeral Way” displays. PART 2 - In this release we can the current  Touchstone singer Kim Seviour. “Wintercoast”, the second album by this excellent UK progressive rock outfit, was originally released in 2009 and again, thanks to SPV/Steamhammer, was re-released in 2012 with the addiction of 2 bonus live tracks. Few lines from the REVIEW : “Out of all of their albums, I think “Wintercoast” may be their most ambitious and therefore challenging albums to listen to, but once it is allowed to grow, “Wintercoast” fits right in there with the rest of the Touchstone catalog”. Occult rock rising stars Jess and the Ancient Ones have released via Svart Records in 2012 their self titled debut and as Luisa states it’s a “solid debut”. I won’t bore you with a long presentation this time, I would like only to invite you to give a chance to this Finnish band and listen to this “magic rituals” as JATAO calls their songs. We realize that it’s quite late to publish this interview but in my personal point of view it’s never too late to give some space to a fellow Italian metal band. This time we are talking about the Progressive Power metal band Repsel from Rome that has debuted via Nomadism Records on 2011 with the full-length “The Double Mask of Human Kind”. The debut is a concept and “describes the two faces of war, the hopes and fears of the people living in war zones as well as the sarcastic complacency of the people who lead wars according to their personal economic and political interests”. So about this matter we have questioned to Marta Iacoponi, the lead singer and the band violinist. Also in addition to this we have discovered that Repsel has published a videoclip for the song “Fairies of Dreams” and about this Marta says : “We put a great effort in it and it was as involving as the recording of the album itself.  Another musical discovery for our dear Tony and this time we talk about Spain’s progressive metal band Antalgia debut called “Perception of Reality”. According our reviewer also seems that the band (rated 89 out of 100), fronted by Bella Dianez, has a bright future : “With their debut full-length “Perception of Reality”, the melodic hard rock/metal band Antalgia is out to take their place among Spain’s best femme metal bands”. Now from US we go straight in Europe but we don’t change at all the music genre. What we present here is the debut of the Polish Power metal band Access Denied called “Touch of Evil” out via Pitch Black Records, as Tony explained us you should “cross Judas Priest with Accept along with some classic Iron Maiden thrown in for good measure” and this are the main band coordinates/influences. This release was rated 86 out of 100 and as the review states “should be required listening for fans of the genre”. So you are into Power Metal or you love the aforementioned bands?
