Finally after the top review that Greek Melodic Death Metal band Seduce The Heaven has received for its debut “Field of Dreams” here on FMW, it’s time to propose you this nice interview with their singer Elina Laivera [ Elina Laivera Official]. Elina, talking about the debut is quite proud of the Japanese deal achieved with Spinning Records ‘cause it “is a huge market”. Well, in a way we must thank Sir Russell Allen from Symphony X if Elina sings in a metal band because, as she states : ” So, I realized it is not about metal or classical music, it is not about the genre but about the art. So I swore to myself, I would from now on only serve like this the art I love the most”. As the vocalists unveils that she designs stage clothings -“but for personal use only”- although Elina loves corsets, admits that “on stage, there are practical issues like breathing, being able to bend and stretch etc. So no, I avoid corsets on stage”.

(@tystnadenband) Finally I can publish this review and personally I cannot wait to sink my teeth into this awesome album. My friends Tystnaden are back, “after being silent for the last few years”, with “Anima”, their third album. The highlight’s album that Tony points out are “the duel vocals between Laura De Luca and keyboardist Giancarlo Guarrera” that “continue to be a high point for this band and they have never sounded better”. After this, what we can add? Well, ““Anima” is a kick-ass return”. Just a little update : the last news sees Giada Etro [singer for Croatian doom metallers Ashes You Leave] replacing TEMPORARILY Laura De Luca for the upcoming gigs.

Probably we talking about “THE album of the year” and we’re referring to “the Swedish melodic metal band Amaranthe” after their 2011 self titled debut - according to Tony Amaranthe’s “album created a huge buzz in the metal world”- are back in 2013 with their second album “The Nexus” under Spinefarm Records. Our reviewer Tony simply said: ” “The Nexus” is a solid follow up to their debut and should further cement their reputation as one of the best young bands on the metal planet”. So go get it, don’t miss out this release!

Switzerland’s Eluveitie doesn’t any further introduction so without ado we present you this latest release called “The Early Years” that, as Tony states, “is a great way to delve into the beginnings of this band and older fans may be interested in the re-recorded versions of older material” because ” “The Early Years” is a re-recording of their rare “Ven” EP; and next 11-songs is their debut album “Spirit” which has been re-mastered”. In the end, with this platter the folk metallers are not offering anything new but “this is an interesting package for fans old and new”.

We have already reviewed their self-titled promo in 2008, two years after that promo the Greek Atmospheric Death Metal band Korrigan have published their self-released debut called “Thy Art, Lament”. As Luisa recalls Korrigan is influenced by “Septic Flesh, but also Amorphis, Tiamat and gothic masters Tristania”. This album is avalaible as free legal download and as a digipack. Luisa advices this album to who “misses the old gothic-metal mood of the ’90s”. Are you one of this nostalgic? From Belgium comes AZYLYA that has released under WormHoleDeath - Dreamcell 11 the debut album “SWEET CEREBRAL DESTRUCTION”. Trying to define Azylya’s musical proposal is quite hard ‘cause “Azylya don’t strictly adhere to one specific genre, instead they incorporate elements of symphonic metal, death metal, doom metal and even cinematic metal”. But the most interesting fact is the story on which the album is based that was written by the lead singer Jamie-Lee Smit, some infos about it here : “the story follows the (mis)adventures of a young girl who is abused by her father who – in order to avoid a scandal – abandons her in an insane asylum, where she must do what she can to survive.” Do you want to challenge yourself with some eclectic stuff?
