(@svartrecords @tuomaskarhunen) “After their high praised self-titled debut” Finnish occult rock band Jess and the Ancient Ones are back a brand new EP called “Astral Sabbat” released by Svart Records. The only thing that our reviewer Luisa has done it was reconfirming her opinion about this band and their musicianship : “The EP is made up of three tracks bathed by a magic breath, a liquid sound that is found also in the instruments”. So, as Luisa recommends “if you love occult rock, this is a release you cannot miss”.

Well, I’m talking about the second album by Brighton based Esben and the Witch called “Wash Sins Not Only the Face” out on today via Matador Records. Luisa, who got the task to review it, was totally fascinated by this release that she states : ““Wash Sins Not Only The Face”s a very refined, elegant record” and in particular was mesmerized by “Slow Wave” because of its song structure “it has fascinating guitar riffs, will take you on a real trip in the evening shade”. Every time that the Swedish Heavy metallers heroes Sister Sin Official releases a new album they never miss a hit. We’re talking about their fourth album “Now and Forever” out via Victory Records that according to Tony is “possibly their most raw, in-your-face and aggressive album to date”. You love belligerent, straight-in-your-face vocals and an attitude à la Motorhead? Make yours this album but before stop by to read this ace review (RATED 93 out of 100) @ (via Sister Sin – “Now and Forever” (2012) « Femme Metal Webzine)

For what I get UK gothic metal band Apparition has again tornado-ed its line up but this doesn’t matter really ‘cause when a band releases a top album this fact needs the complete attention: are really rare the case that a reviewer calls THE “album of their career” and this is the moment. Apparition’s “For Vengeance… and for Love” out on Mëtal Compass for Tony is THE album of their career. I don’t want to spoil the whole review but if this album was rated 91 out 100, it’s a good reason to reading it. More @ (via Apparition – “For Vengeance… And for Love” (2012) « Femme Metal Webzine)

Now back in Italy, with the symphonic/gothic metal band Synful Ira and its debut “Between Hope and Fear” out on logic(il)logic. With the singer Letizia, we have discovered that in the first times the band used to be a Nightwish/Evanescene cover band and that Fabio and Marco (respectively guitarist and drummer) are part of 2 different bands like Absynth Aura and Ancient Bards too. In addition to this don’t miss the duet that Letizia has sung with Absynth Aura’s singer Claudia “Klod” Saponi on their full lenght. You love Nightwish, Evanescence and Lacuna Coil? This Italians are just the perfect band for you!!! More @ (via INTERVIEW: Letizia Chiozzi – Synful Ira « Femme Metal Webzine)
